The hostal was a great place to relax and regain strength...

The hostal was a great place to relax and regain strength for traveling around. The patio is peaceful, the rooms comfortable. The hostal owners were very hospitable and the place was clean.

I was a bit cold in bed. Ask for an extra blanket if you are not traveling in summer.

The actual location, close to amenities, the relaxed environment. The overall experience was pleasant and will use again if ever I visit Valparaiso. And very good value.

Valpari so-so?

Really good location, the lady who owns the place is very friendly. Nice patio to hang out in.

Advertised as a four bed dorm (which I believe is being renovated), ended up in a 12 bed, triple stacked hong kong style room which was still clean and comfy.

Gorgeous hostel in a heart of Valparaiso with a boutique feeling and truly amazing vibe

Located in the iconic part of Valparaiso, close by to all main attractions this hostel is surely a great place to stay while visiting this lovely port town of Central Chile. Beautifully decorated in a charming style, spacious and light, with an ambience of some boutique hotel and newly designed home, with nice comunal areas to chill, relax or have fun with fellow travellers this hostel gives you a perfect mixture of cozy homeliness and fun. The dormitory room was spacious and light, with big windows and homely tranquil feeling. My bed was super comfortable. Also had my own big locker box. The hostel is new and is kept super clean. Bathrooms and kitchen were always in immaculate condition. Always good hot shower. Owners of the hostel are a lovely young couple who were very friendly and always ready to help with any info needed and really made me feel like at home. Very stylish and beautifully designed hostel with an amazing vibe. Beautiful mixture of minimalism and homeliness in an amazing place of Valparaiso. Terrace was one of the loveliest spots to simply enjoy peace and quiet of this gorgeous town. Absolutely loved it. Definitely would recommend.

The beds were super comfy, warm and really sturdy. The kitchen was so nice and well equipped. And the dining area was spacious with a lovely outdoor patio. Shower rooms were awesome too with a personal cubical - makes such a difference

Good spot, restaurants, cafes, supermarkets close.

Good spot, restaurants, cafes, supermarkets close. Close to Plaza Sotomayor. Staff are great. Warm, social environment. Owner of the sturdiest triple bunks in the Southern Hemisphere. Mad welding skills on display.

No breakfast/coffee included. But cheap enough to reflect so no major issue.

The people there were lovely and the hostel comfortable.

The people there were lovely and the hostel comfortable. A good location just a few steps away from the pretty colorful part of town.

Way too much smoking driving into the dorms, sorry, not pleasant. That in combo with being allergic to cats caused me some problems. The fridge was very smelly, possibly a stricter throw away policy would be good.

It's in an amazing location and has a nice terrace for...

It's in an amazing location and has a nice terrace for chilling - all for a very affordable price (possible to pay with card for +5%). The receptionist lent us padlock lockers.

The 9-person dorms feel a bit cramped - especially if a few people leave their bags all over the room. Smoke from cigarettes on the terrace goes right in the dorm window.

Pay extra for the breakfast it's worth it

The location is fantastic although I was dropped off at night at the bottom of the stairs and at first it doesn't look very safe/appealing but the next day I realised it's in the perfect spot. I'd recommend paying extra for the breakfast, was the best one I've had from a hostel. This is quite a social hostel & very informative staff.

The rooms ended up being quite smelly as there are 9 beds in each room with no door in between so basically 18 beds!

What was the highlight of Hostal Casa El Peral

Great Location and Staff, Too crowded in the dorms

Fast check-in and check-out, responds to emails and provided a lower level bed, Pierre was really helpful, could modify the stay and reduce it by a day without any hassles. Nice outside terrace, very near Plaza Sotomayor and a viewpoint.

Room too crowded with 3-level beds, not enough space to put things, bottom storage drawers crooked and hard to close (not so secure), too cold in the inner room thruout day and night even in November-end, outer room more spacious and sunny, kitchen extremely small and can get very crowded at dinner time, at shower time I always had varying mix of hot and cold water with sometimes no hot water, shower cubby too tiny for me! Beware this hostel is on an alley that has only steps and ramps so dragging bags can be a drag! In the night, woke up at 4 AM with loud conversations in the adjoining property that lasted almost an hour - this isn't hostel's fault of course but is none-the-less an inconvenience.
